What is AOIT?
The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) is an outstanding program available for Miami Beach Senior High School students in grades 9-12 who want to enhance their high school career with a ‘real world’ experience. Our world is rapidly growing and the field of information technology is paving the way. We are committed to preparing our students with the necessary tools to be successful and productive citizens. The Academy of Information Technology features a dynamic cluster of elective and core academic courses that focus on one of the world’s largest and fastest growing industries: Information Technology.
The Academy of Information Technology operates as a small learning community, providing a program of study that introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today’s digital workforce and equips them with the personal, analytical, and technical communication skills they need to thrive. By introducing high school students to the broad career opportunities of the IT industry, AOIT opens the door to new options, with which students are better able to make sound choices for the future.
With over 125 academies nationwide, The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) prepares students for post-secondary education and careers through a theme-based, contextualized curriculum approach. Academic learning experiences are combined with hands-on work experience to help students develop the thinking and problem-solving skills so critical to post-secondary education and career success.
Many Students will be taking their Industry Certification Tests in Microsoft, Adobe and Microsoft Technology. Please contact Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Delgado, or Mrs. Bush for the time and date. Tests will be given during 1st and 2nd Periods.
